You can use the quality of the day to determine the (in)auspiciousness of a chosen activity, or simply to get an overview of the (un)available energies.

The Day Rating provides a visual overview of the results of our calculations. It is represented by stars ranging from 0-5 stars: 0-1.5 stars indicates a negative impact on the day; 2-3 stars indicates a neutral impact; and 3.5-5 stars indicates a positive impact on the day. It serves as a quick reference of the (in)auspiciousness of the day.

The Dong Gong features 5 levels, from Dire to Excellent, and serves as one of the more crucial algorithms in the Quality of the day.

The time impact is a result of the calculations of the 12 Day Officer Method, which analyses the 12 qualities (e.g. Establish, Remove, Full, etc.) that define each day in a given month.

You can filter your results by selecting the ‘Planned’ Activities button and then either filtering using the Select Activity drop down menu, or using more advanced filtering options found in the Detailed Professional Filter tab.

The stars represent a ranking system for the auspiciousness of a given day. There are three levels: 0-1.5 stars indicates a negative impact on the day; 2-3 stars indicates a neutral impact; and 3.5-5 stars indicates a positive impact on the day.

The checkmark indicates that it is a suitable day for a given activity. The checkmarks provide a quick reference for activities that could be pursued on a given day.

The prohibited sign indicates that an activity would best be left for another day. There is some negative impact on the day affecting that activity.

Though you can’t filter by hour, you can see the ‘hourly’ breakdown of each day by scrolling down below the ‘Activities’ table.

Xuan Kong Da Gua is a metaphysical system meant for selecting auspicious days to conduct certain activities and to avoid bad days as well. It makes fundamental use of the 64 hexagrams which are made up of two trigrams stacked together. For this reason it is also sometimes simply referred to as the 64 hexagrams method.

You can choose a day by selecting the calendar located in the center of the page above ‘Quality of the Day.’ You can also toggle between days using the ‘Next day’ and ‘Previous day’ buttons located on either side of the calendar.

The values of the day can range from 0 to 5 stars, and the fewer stars a day has, the less favorable it is for any certain activities.

You can find the best date by filtering for an activity using the ‘Planned Activities’ button located at the top of the page. Once you have selected a given activity, the calculations will reveal the auspicious days and their star rating.
